GSA Administrator Presented with PTI Technology Leadership Appreciation Award

Denise Turner Roth, Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA) was presented with the Public Technology Institute (PTI) 2016 Technology Leadership Appreciation Award for her leadership role and commitment to promoting greater collaboration amongst all levels of government. The award was presented March 14, 2016 during the PTI conference "Smart Cities & Counties II: Beyond the Hype, Where Innovation Rules" held in Denver, Colorado.

When presenting the award, Alan Shark, Executive Director of PTI, said, "As we bring together local and state officials at this conference, to plan for the smarter localities of tomorrow, we are thrilled to have the Administrator of the General Services Administration, Denise Turner Roth, at the table. GSA is the home of innovative technology and smart acquisitions for the federal government and truly acts as a catalyst for economic development in cities and counties across the country."

The PTI Technology Leadership Appreciation Award is presented to individuals in the public and private sectors who have shown a commitment to using technology to enhance government services and improve civic engagement.

The PTI Conference "Smart Cities & Counties II: Beyond the Hype, Where Innovation Rules" convened representatives from cities and counties from across the country and private sector technology officials. This two day conference focused on case studies about finding and cultivating innovation and explored innovation in transportation, energy, community resilience, public safety, leadership and social media and application development.
