Recognizing that the function of the local government CIO is expanding and the skills that the CIO needs to be an effective leader are changing dramatically, PTI has established a certified government CIO program (CGCIO™) in conjunction with Rutgers University’s School of Public Affairs & Administration.

PTI also serves as the administrative arm of the Consortium for State and Local Government Technology Certification that is a partnership between The University of North Carolina’s School of Government, and Florida State University’s Florida Institute of Government.
