Technology Conferences and Internet-based Training
At PTI’s annual Technology Leadership Conference, elected officials, appointed officials and representatives from the technology industry come together to network, share best practices and learn about the latest technology issues and innovations that will affect local governments.
PTI is developing a new IPTV network called GoGovTV. It will provide governments with a remarkably cost-effective interactive video/voice information and training system.
PTI is in the planning stages to offer a hosted one hour, bi-monthly series of technology-related training programs that members can take advantage of for free.
Recognizing that the function of the local government CIO is expanding and the skills that the CIO needs to be an effective leader are changing dramatically, PTI will launch a high-level Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) program targeting CIOs and technology managers in local government.
This project will involve the active partnership and experience of the Florida Institute of Government.
